York Festival Maker's Market This Weekend!

York Festival Maker's Market This Weekend!

This weekend I am packing the car – trestle tables, gazebo, stock, smiles, kids, husband, pram, baby carrier, snacks, gin, sunglasses etc  and heading to York!

York is Western Australia’s oldest inland town, located about 60 minutes’ drive, 100 or-so kms east of Perth. I’ve been meaning to visit York for AGES. Especially since Jenny from Botanicalia Shop at Gallery 152 has been a long supporter of Philippa’s work and stocks studio Nikulinsky. So, when I saw there was a Festival and Market happening I signed up.

Once we arrive on Saturday, I’m looking forward to seeing the Japanese Culture Festival at the York Town Hall as well as wandering through the Wara Art trail.

On Sunday I will be setting up shop on the corner of Avon Terrace & South Street for the Maker's Market. I'll be debuting a new product at the Market - beautiful pocket mirrors featuring 5 different Philippa Nikulinsky paintings - these aren't available online or in any shops yet and I think (of course) they would make a really lovely present.

Have you been to York? Are you coming/have been to the festival? I hope to see you at the Makers Market on Sunday!

The York Festival runs from September 28 to October 13. You can download the full festival program here.
